Caenorhabditis elegans

Caenorhabditis elegans

A network of collections of Caenorhabditis elegans mainly under the supervision of the “Institut des Sciences Biologiques” of CNRS

The model Caenorhabditis elegans is studied by numerous research teams in France. For example, these research programs aim at identifying genetic determinants of longevity and aging, at understanding mechanisms of innate immunity, or involved in plasticity and evolution of the cell division… They need specific collections of C. elegans.

Twenty-two of these teams are mainly under the supervision of the “Institut des Sciences Biologiques” of CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research).
